The battle over access to abortions is a battle of life and death. One black conservative activist also says it’s a battle against racism.
Black Lives Matter, an activist group founded in 2012 and which says it protects black lives, lists a number of causes it stands for, from globalism to transgender affirming to black feminism. The website’s category for family advocacy lists “dismantling the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work ‘double shifts’ that require them to mother in private even as they participate in justice work.”
Nowhere does the lists of causes mention preventing the abortion of black babies.
Political commentator Kevin Jackson, who is black, said he does not consider Black Lives Matter to be an actual group. Instead, it pretends at humanitarian efforts, said Jackson, who publishes TheBlackSphere.net blog. His site says he wants to “set the record straight on the destruction of the black community at the hand of the Democratic Party.” Jackson is a talk radio host on Salem Communications, author of such books as “Race Pimping: The Multi-Trillion Dollar Business of Liberalism” and a regular Fox News political commentator.
The eugenics movement has always sought to “keep the population of blacks at what they call a reasonable level,” he said.
The goal is to keep enough blacks “to do your dirty work and no more,” he said, and equated Black Lives Matter with the eugenics movement.
Abortion has taken a disproportionate toll on blacks. A fact sheet on the National Right to Life website says blacks comprised 13.7 percent of the U.S. population of women of child-bearing age in 2000 but accounted for 31.7 percent of all abortions that year, the latest year that data was available from the organization. Since 1973, when abortion became legal, at least 13.8 million black, Hispanic and other minority babies were aborted.
Christian NFL player Ben Watson, who is black, spoke about the racism of abortion during an interview with Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center, republished on LifeNews.com.
“We sit here and talk about advancing the black agenda, whatever that means, we talk about our interests, and what’s important to us — like having political power and advancement and all those things — and then we are turning around and we are killing our children,” said Watson, who plays for the Baltimore Ravens. “And we are buying the lie that it’s our personal decision to make.”
Watson also called on men to take responsibility in their families’ lives.

Abortionists may argue that their service reduces the poverty cycle and thus crime, but you cannot point to a direct tie between crime and poverty, Jackson said. Progressive policies have created generational problems of “patchwork” families where children grow up to end up in prison.
“The people in society who are the easiest to convince are the downtrodden,” Jackson said.
Eugenics is concerned with weeding out the criminals and other undesirables and controlling the world’s population. At one time eugenics supporters thought the world could only support 1 billion, he said. Now that there are billions of more people and technology can feed more and more, supporters of this philosophy have to position their arguments in a Machiavellian manner.
There is also an economic cost to abortion, according to The National Right to Life. Minority-owned businesses were one of the faster growing parts of the U.S. economy in 1997 and generated $495 billion in revenues. The organization points out that more minority workers and entrepreneurs would be contributing to the economy and tax base if not for abortion.
Blacks fought for decades to enter the mainstream in America but neighborhoods were segregated even in the 1950s and 1960s, Jackson said. Blacks made progress on integration from there, then the government started building the projects.
“We found ourselves collectively together again,” he said. “The eugenics movement corralled us together” the way that people like Margaret Sanger spoke of. Pastors like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson became the black social conscience and preached the eugenics philosophy.
“We found ourselves becoming more secular,” Jackson said. “We bought into the idea of birth control, abortion. We lost the idea of family.”
All those factors fought against the concept of black families and destroyed fatherhood, Jackson said. Government destroyed the connection to God and encouraged feminism.
“The last thing they did was make it convenient,” he said, referring to the placement of Planned Parenthood in black neighborhoods versus locations like Beverly Hills.
The Left is disingenuous by calling Planned Parenthood a service for women’s health, he said.
“Planned Parenthood implies women have no rights,” Jackson said. “I’ve never seen a woman rejected at a hospital to have her health checked out.”
Planned Parenthood acts like it is the only outlet for women’s gynecological needs, he said, but women are free to go to the hospital, emergency clinics, health clinics and private doctor practices.
“Planned Parenthood has no real purpose,” Jackson said. “You can only come to one conclusion: It’s a way to do population control.”
